Red Sky Media is launching a new project that will run throughout the UK & Ireland from 2009 onwards with a particular focus on the North of England. The project aims to enable people from all areas, backgrounds & specialist interests gain the opportunities they need to get their material published in the media or on the web.
With the growth of blogging & websites featuring user generated content, the opportunities for people to get their material seen by the public are greater than ever before .Part of the project will help people develop their skills and see them producing their own TV programmes. These will then be broadcast on one of the channels hosted by Red Sky. Each channel will also have regular live events, pitching, casting etc.
Other opportunities with Red Sky Media will include the chance to participate in visual arts festivals& media conferences, digital publishing and creating material that can then be submitted to major media organizations with a view to being commissioned. Red Sky Media would particularly like to hear from arts, social & community organisations who would be interested in producing content. Potential participants are also encouraged to enrol with Red Sky Media’s various courses which include both evening & full day workshops in a variety of locations including Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin & Galway.
